GRIFFIN MINISTRIES - THE GRIFFINS...MUSIC WITH A MISSION
The Griffins are a Progressive Southern Gospel trio from Spartanburg, SC. The group has been ministering through song and personal testimony for a little over fifteen years and have shared their ministry main stage at the National Quartet Convention held yearly at the LeConte Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, TN. Main stage artists at Singing In The Sun held in Myrtle Beach, SC and The Ark Encounter held in Williamsburg, KY; both hosted by Abraham Productions. The trio has also appeared at the prestigious Billy Graham Evangelical Associations Head Quarters - Library Grounds in
Charlotte, NC, Dollywood Theme Park, Loretta Lynns Ranch, and worship centers both Nationally and Internationally.
The trio has also made personal appearances by radio and television.
The Griffins released their debut national radio single, Redeeming Blood, which topped the chart at #38! Fly Away With Jesus, The King and Walk Water Faith have all topped national radio charts across the country.
The Griffins were awarded the “2013 and 2014 Mixed Trio of the Year” at the 93rd and 94th State Annual Sing in Benson, NC. They also clinched two Top 10 2013 Diamond Award nominations in the following categories: Sunrise Award – The Griffins and the Anthony Burger Instrumentalist Award – Tim Griffin. The Griffins also took part in the 2012 pre-show of the Diamond Awards.
Tim Griffin is an accomplished pianist in the Southern Gospel music industry. In 1980, Tim started his professional career playing piano for Alphus LeFevre and “The LeFevres” from Atlanta GA. Throughout his career in gospel music, he has had the privilege to work with artists such as Karen Peck Gooch, Mike LeFevre, Brian Free, Eva Mae LeFevre, Rosie Roselle, and many others. In 1983 he helped to organize a male quartet from Spartanburg SC known throughout the Southeast as "The Regals" before forming The Griffins.
Angela Griffin has a strong, rich alto voice and traveled throughout the Southeast with her family, The McCrays growing up. On December 31, 2002 she married the love of her life, Tim Griffin. Tim and Angela then combined their musical talents and formed "The Griffins". They have traveled throughout the United States and Haiti sharing their musical talents. Angela served as a staff writer for the prestigious SGN Scoops Digital Magazine before accepting the News Directors position with Global Promotions. Angela also serves as lead vocalist for Love A Child, Inc.
Teresa Woodrum fills the soprano position. Teresa is no stranger to the gospel music industry as she previously worked for Global Promotions at the direction of Paul Pitts. Teresa has a loving family, Greg Woodrum husband and 2 boys, who supports her ministry work fully.
Brian Scott from Johnson City, TN, holds the pivotal position of lead/baritone vocalist. He is also an accomplished pianist. Beyond his artistic talents, Brian is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider. His private practice, deeply rooted in Christian principles, reflects his unwavering faith and dedication to holistic healing
Theresa Bellamy hailing from Kingsport, TN, is the fourth vocalist of The Griffins. She brings a wealth of expertise. As the esteemed owner and operator of “Theresa’s Studio for Vocal Performance,” she has honed her craft and guided countless aspiring artists. Her addition promises to infuse the group with a new dimension of vocal excellence, captivating audiences with every note.
Josh Smith based in Elizabethton, TN, is a consummate professional and holds dual roles within the ministry. As the sound engineer, he ensures impeccable audio quality during performances—a critical task that often goes unnoticed but profoundly impacts the audience’s experience. Additionally, Josh takes the wheel as the group’s bus driver, navigating their journey with precision and care. His strong work ethic and collaborative spirit make him an invaluable asset.
The ministry of The Griffins, Griffin Ministries Inc. is a 501 c 3 Non-Profit organization. The Griffins welcome every opportunity to share their ministry and the love of Christ. It is their desire to see lost souls come to know Christ through their ministry and share their heart for missions.
